HOW TO FIGHT YOUR OWN INDOLENCE?
"5 minutes more", "10 minutes more ", "15 minutes more" and so on and on until eventually, we will find ourselves cramming and stressed because we are near to being late to the time we have settled to do or to went to something or to somewhere. That is how lazy we are. Specifically, these laziness were experiencing by most of the students, from doing their assignments to going to school or to review the lectures needed. Here, these are the tips that would help you solve and fight your own lazy self:
10 WAYS TO OVERCOME LAZINESS
Tip no. 1: Do not be overwhelmed. Sometimes, we have so much to do that we just get overwhelmed, and we end up nothing. It is important to have realistic expectations on what you are able to accomplish. If you have too much on your plate and no idea you are gonna get it all done, you may just be overwhelmed and not necessarily lazy.
Tip no. 2: Set goals and be motivated. Being not motivated causes laziness to you if you have something to do things for, that is why setting goals is a must. In this way, you will be motivated to do tasks willingly and quickly because there is something to look forward to as an output.
Tip no. 3: Create a daily plan. Having a daily plan no matter if it is an indoor or outdoor activity, is necessary to avoid laziness because most of the time, not having a daily plan will make you unorganized and forgetful about the things you need to do.
Tip no. 4: Make your own time table. Make time you spend working on your tasks productive. List the things you need to do together with the corresponding time. It will push you to do things on time and be productive. Make sure you not leave a time for laziness.
Tip no. 5: Think about the benefits. Focusing on the difficulties of carrying out a task, leads to discouragement, avoidance of taking action, and laziness. Instead of thinking about the difficulties or obstacles, think about the benefits you will gain once you start taking action. When you focus on benefits and goals, productivity becomes much more rewarding. Learn the value of each task and then work towards it.
Tip no. 6: Think about the consequences. Think about what will happen if you succumb to laziness if you do not get your task done. In most cases, simply thinking about the consequences of not acting, can push you to take action.
Tip no. 7: Switch things up. If you tend to leave the most complex or difficult task for last, switch it up and begin doing those things first. You do not want to spread yourself too thin. Pick one or two things to focus on and fully devote yourself to working on those tasks. Remember, you have to work to reach your goal; it is not going to happen right away.
Tip no. 8: Track your progress. Sticking to new changes can be challenging. Tracking results an effective way to help make new habits stick. If you can see that holding yourself accountable is helping you to reach your goal, it will be much easier to keep up.
Tip no. 9: Schedule break times. You need to take an occasional break, but make sure that time is limited, so you do not lose momentum. For example, you could commit to working your tasks for the first 45 minutes of every hour, and then a 15-minute break.
Tip no. 10: Look for alternatives. Is there a better or more efficient way to do things? Think of ways you can be effective. You will find that the more you streamline, automate, delegate, and outsource, the more you will get done with the same level of effort.
Always remember that perseverance, patience, and being wise are the key to unlock and attract better opportunities. Laziness will never lead you to success.
