HOW TO ACHIEVE UPRIGHTNESS AS A LEARNER?
Is it enough to be wise? Are you contented with your learning? BE A BETTER STUDENT! As what our teachers or professors always says to us, "It is okay to have intelligence but, always remember, behavior is a must too." As a learner who can achieve uprightness should know how to apply their knowledge in actions to become better, not just as a learner but also as an individual. So, here, we stated some tips that will help you to know and to become an effective student. Read and understand it well down here:
Tip no. 1: Have respect. An effective student should know how to respect their teachers properly and accordingly. They should've know their limitations as a student regarding to their words and actions.
Tip no. 2: Set your priorities. An effective student must know his/her priorities. He/She has a clear logical mind to his/her objectives and goals in life.
Tip no. 3: Avoid procrastinating. Do what you need to do on time so that you never waste time. Learn to plan your study sessions and set specific goals. Always be early than the deadline to avoid haste, in this way you will be able to do and accomplish lots of tasks.
Tip no. 4: Ask questions. Do not afraid to ask questions. Asking will help you to more understand the lesson and to see that you're interested.
Tip no. 5: Follow through. If you make a plan, make sure you follow through with that. If you decide you want to be productive, follow through and make that happen for yourself.
Tip no. 6: Obstacles = Improvement opportunities. Think of obstacles and adversity as an opportunity for improving yourself to get better at something. Do not think of it as negative thing. Think of it as an opportunity to just get better.
Tip no. 7: Be an adaptive thinker. In the digital age, things are changing at exponential rates. Students will need to continuously adapt to changing conditions as well as be able to learn new things quickly and efficiently. We need our students to learn how to learn.
Tip no. 8: Help other students who are in need and contribute. Students often lose motivation when they focus too much on achievement and too little on contribution. To keep things in perspective, find small ways to contribute in your capacity as a student, e.g. volunteering, fundraising, solving problems in your school, to become an effective student.
Tip no. 9: Spend time with optimistic people. Hang out with people who are positive, motivated, focused, kind, generous and hardworking. You will find yourself developing those traits as the days and weeks go by.
Tip no. 10: Take notes during class. One of the qualities of an effective student is being a critical listener. It is important to take notes in class, because it helps you to pay attention and to learn the concepts better.
